Robert Niles-Weed Named a 2024 “Notable LGBTQIA+ Leader” by Crain’s New York Business

Crain’s New York Business has named Robert Niles-Weed, partner in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation and Appeals and Strategic Counseling practices, among its 2024 “Notable LGBTQIA+ Leaders.”

The publication noted Robert’s win for nonprofit Upsolve in a landmark First Amendment case, allowing non-lawyers in New York State to provide free, limited legal advice to low-income people in debt collection cases.

Robert also was recognized for serving as Board Chair of Hope in a Box, a nonprofit supporting LGBTQ-inclusive classrooms nationwide.

Winners were selected based on submissions from the New York City region and chosen “not only because they excel in their respective fields but also for their commitment to creating inclusive and equitable workplaces.”
