Banking & Finance partner Vynessa Nemunaitis has been named an On the Rise Award winner as part of Texas Lawyer's 2021 Texas Legal Excellence Awards.

The On the Rise honor recognizes lawyers under the age of 40 who have wielded influence in their practice areas in Texas and beyond. According to the publication, the selected honorees were chosen for being innovators, developing unique practice niches, amassing robust books of business, demonstrating strong leadership qualities, showing expertise in litigation, in-house or transactional work and committing themselves to pro bono, charitable and professional volunteer work.

Vynessa’s practice focuses primarily on debt finance transactions, including acquisition financing, investment grade lending, leveraged lending, liability management transactions, and restructuring transactions, advising clients in multimillion- and billion-dollar cases.

Beyond her practice, Vynessa is involved in a variety of Firm initiatives focused on diversity, inclusion and attorney advancement. She currently serves as the Dallas office’s Hiring Partner and is also a member of the Firm's Professional Development Committee, the WeilLatinx affinity group, the Women@Weil affinity group and the Mothers@Weil affinity group. In 2019, Vynessa also participated in a leadership pilot program sponsored by the Firm's Taskforce on Women's Engagement & Retention (TOWER).

Vynessa is involved in numerous professional organizations throughout the Dallas community, including the Dallas Volunteer Attorney Program (DVAP), the Innocence Project, the Dallas Bar Association and the Dallas Hispanic Bar Association.

The winners will be recognized in the January/February 2022 issue of Texas Lawyer.
