Weil was recognized with two individual and Firm honors at the 2023 Managing Intellectual Property Americas Awards in New York on April 27, underscoring the Firm’s longstanding reputation as one of the nation’s top intellectual property advisors.

Technology & IP Transactions practice Co-Head Charan Sandhu was named Practitioner of the Year (IP Transactions). She was recognized for her work advising on the technology and IP aspects of several major deals, including MGM Resorts International’s $17.2 billion sale of MGM Growth Properties to VICI Properties and Getty Images’ approximately $4.8 billion merger with CC Neuberger Principal Holdings II.

Additionally, Weil was named Copyright Firm of the Year for representing various prominent clients and securing a historic industry-wide settlement for Pandora Media in a case before the Copyright Royalty Board. Hailed as a landmark settlement when it was reached in August 2022, the matter sets royalty rates paid by on-demand streamers for certain publishing rights for the 2023-2027 period.
