Weil has been shortlisted for top honors at the 2024 IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards, highlighting the Firm’s outstanding accomplishments in “legal innovation in cross-border transactions” in the region.

Weil Asia’s leading market position was reflected in its recognition as one of the finalists for “Private Equity Team of the Year.” Weil has also been recognized for its work on the landmark $3.16 billion take-private of Chindata Group, shortlisted for “Private Equity Deal of the Year.”

The Weil team members involved in the transaction include Private Equity partner Chris Welty and associates Max Chu and Qi Zhang.

International Financial Law Review recognizes top firms and transactions for the IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards based on extensive research, consisting of submissions, client endorsements and interviews with attorneys industrywide. The award winners will be announced on March 20, 2024.
