Weil Paris partner Yannick Piette has been named “M&A Lawyer of the Year” for 2023 by his peers in Option Droit & Affaires.

The publication profiled Yannick, detailing his path to becoming an M&A lawyer and noting his many achievements, his “unshakable” demeanor in high-pressure situations and his dedication to his clients. The feature also highlighted his reputation as a “combative and tough lawyer, deeply committed to the cause of his clients.” His peers unanimously regarded Yannick as “one of the best of the new generation of public M&A lawyers.”

Among the notable matters he has led, Option Droit & Affaires noted, is the restructuring of French retailer Casino Group, which the publication called “the most important restructuring that the Paris market has ever known.”
