Catherine Balido is an associate in the Restructuring Department of Weil’s New York office.

Catherine received her B.A. from Boston College, where she was a member of the NCAA women’s volleyball team and her J.D., cum laude, from Tulane Law School.

Debtor/Company-Side Experience:

  • Carestream Dental, a global leader in digital transformation for the oral healthcare industry, with over $800 million in debt obligations, in connection with an out-of-court recapitalization transaction resulting in $525 million of new capital.
  • Mobileum, Inc., a leading global provider of telecom analytics and network solutions, in connection with its prepackaged chapter 11 cases with approximately $628 million in debt obligations.
  • Terraform Labs Pte. Ltd., a Singapore-based software developer in its chapter 11 cases, involving billions of dollars in claims asserted by the SEC. Terraform Labs developed and supported (i) software used to create and run the Terra blockchain network, a unique decentralized digital ledger of peer-to-peer transactions, and (ii) a suite of tools, protocols, and applications that operate on the Terra blockchain.

Creditor/Other Experience:

  • The Special Master for the United States District Court for the District of Delaware in connection with enforcing judgments for billions, designing a plan for the Court supervised sale of the shares of PDV Holding, Inc., the parent Company of CITGO Holding, Inc. CITGO is one of the largest refiners, transporters, and marketers of motor fuels, petrochemicals, and other industrial products in the United States.
