Biography
Daniel Johnstone is an associate in the Corporate team in London and his expertise includes advising private equity funds and corporates on acquisitions, disposals and restructurings as well as portfolio companies on general corporate matters.
Prior to joining Weil, Daniel was an associate at a US-headquartered firm.
Representative experience includes acting for:
- Clayton, Dubilier & Rice on the acquisitions of the Facilities Services business of OCS Group and Atalian
- Kantar (a portfolio company of Bain Capital) on the merger, in partnership with SilverTree Equity, of Kantar Xtel with StepUp
- A&M Capital Europe on its acquisition of Carton Pack
- M&G Catalyst on its investment in Nuclera
- Berkshire Partners-backed Parts Town on its acquisition of the REPA Group
- Providence Equity Partners on its acquisition of Node 4
- Bain Capital on its acquisition of Valeo Foods Group
- Generation Investment Management on its up to $600 million investment and strategic partnership with Octopus Energy Group
- M&G Catalyst on its investment in Storegga Geotechnologies
- Advent International, as leader of a consortium, in the consortium's acquisition of Planet Payment Group
- Advent International, as leader of a consortium, in the consortium's acquisition of Hoist Group
- Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan on its acquisition of a majority stake in Logoplaste
