Emma Evans
Emma Evans is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation practice. Her broad experience includes work on class actions, multi-district litigations, antitrust actions, unfair competition claims, products liability, and intellectual property disputes in state and federal courts nationwide.

Some of her most recent experience includes serving on Weil teams:

  • Advising companies on potential intellectual property and unfair competition claims arising from competitors copying their proprietary information
  • Representing a large real estate company in an alleged algorithmic price fixing class action MDL
  • Representing Tarkett Sports in connection with a products warranty class action MDL
  • Representing a large retailer in connection with an insurance dispute as part of the company’s chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings in the S.D.N.Y.

Emma also maintains an active pro bono practice, including representing a domestic abuse victim in connection with a Hague Convention petition, resulting in a victory, with dismissal of the petition after a two day bench trial. Her additional pro bono experience includes representing tenants seeking ADA accommodations and working with the Innocence Project.

Emma received her J.D., magna cum laude, from Fordham University where she was a Staff Editor for the Fordham Law Review. During law school, she was a Judicial Intern for the Hon. Loretta A. Preska of the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York. She received her B.A. from Brock University.
