Biography
Joseph Schwartz is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in New York. Joseph participates in the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Joseph has been part of the teams advising:
- Altamont Capital Partners in its close of its first continuation fund extending its investment and partnership with Tacala
- Goldman Sachs in the sale of its Personal Financial Management unit to wealth management firm Creative Planning
- Lee Equity Partners in sale of its interests in Simplicity Group Holdings, Inc.
- Nexa Equity in its acquisition of Storewise, Inc.
- Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board and its portfolio Company, APCO Holdings, in its acquisition of National Auto Care
Joseph received his J.D., cum laude, from Fordham Law School, where he served as Staff Editor on the Fordham Urban Law Journal, and his B.A. from New York University.
