Biography
Matt Tobolski is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in New York. Matt participates in the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Matt has been part of the teams advising:
- Blackstone in its $1 billion sale of Aqua Finance and in its acquisition of a majority stake in New Tradition Media
- CPP Investments in its approximately $1 billion investment in support of merger between Novolex (a portfolio company of Apollo) and Pactiv Evergreen
- TPG in its acquisition of a majority stake in Morrow Sodali and Morrow Sodali’s acquisition of Domestique
- Vivial Media Holdings, Inc. in its sale to Thryv Holdings, Inc.
Matt joined Weil as a summer associate in 2020.
Matt received his J.D. from Northwestern University Pritzker School of Law, where he served as an Associate Editor and a Member of the Articles Review Board of the Journal of Criminal Law & Criminology, and his B.A., summa cum laude, from Niagara University.
