Biography
Wupya Nandap is an associate in the Restructuring team in London.
Wupya advises on cross-border and domestic debt restructurings, representing a number of private equity houses and financial institutions in a range of financing transactions, including restructurings, leveraged buyouts, and bank/bond structures.
Wupya is named among the U.K.’s Best Up and Coming Black Lawyers by Law.com.
Representative experience as part of a team includes advising:
- Advising an ad hoc creditors’ committee of Zambia’s Eurobond holders in relation to Zambia’s sovereign restructuring
- Ad hoc group on the restructuring of OHL, the Spanish-based construction and civil engineering company
- Teneo as administrators of VTB Capital PLC
- Europe’s largest cinema operator, Odeon (part of the AMC Entertainment Group), in relation to the Group’s financial difficulties and the refinancing of its European business
- Doncasters, a leading worldwide supplier of high quality engineered components for the aerospace, industrial gas turbine and specialist automotive industries, in relation to its £1.22 billion restructuring
- Key noteholders on the restructuring of Abengoa’s cross-border facilities
- Deloitte as administrators of Paragon Offshore PLC on its restructuring via a combined Chapter 11 and administration sale
- The joint provisional liquidators of Abraaj Investment Management Limited, the investment manager of the emerging markets focused (and once the Middle East’s biggest) private equity group
- 1Malaysia Development Berhad on its dispute with IPIC
- Westinghouse Electric Company on global, European and financing issues concerning its chapter 11, which was one of the largest chapter 11 cases of the 2017 cycle
