Ann Vermes, Chief of Strategic Initiatives, has been named a 2024 “Power Player in Corporate Social Responsibility” by PoliticsNY.

Ann is one of 40 honorees named to the list, which is jointly published by amNewYork to recognize corporate leaders who are “dedicated to pioneering positive change and shaping a brighter future for all.”

Ann told the publication about her path to a career in corporate social responsibility, including how her experience as the child of refugees who benefited from assistance when they arrived in the U.S. instilled in her a responsibility to give back.

Ann also highlighted Weil’s CSR efforts, including charitable contributions, public-private partnerships, scholarships, volunteering and nonprofit board service.

“As a global law firm, we aim to be an outstanding corporate citizen, by contributing in a meaningful way to the communities in which the Firm has offices, supporting the CSR goals of our clients, and making a positive and lasting difference in the legal profession,” Ann said in her profile.
