Litigation partner Diane Sullivan and Complex Commercial Litigation partner David Singh have been named among Daily Journal’s “Leading Commercial Litigators” for 2025.

The publication highlighted Diane’s renowned career as a trial attorney and major wins, including a $95 million jury verdict for Altria and defense victories for Merck, Astra Zeneca and Johnson & Johnson. Her two class action jury trial victories involving billions of dollars in potential liability for Philip Morris USA were also showcased. "I have always liked the competition -- it’s exciting, it’s fun," Diane said, reflecting on these monumental victories. "To get out there in the courtroom is exhilarating."

This is the third consecutive year Diane has been selected for this honor.

Daily Journal highlighted David’s more than 20-year career, entirely with Weil, and his success in handling environmental, social and governance and greenwashing cases, including a recent victory for Nike. His work across privacy class actions and technology-related arbitrations also was recognized, including representing clients such as Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount and Gannett.

Referring to his massive docket of privacy-related cases, David noted, "these are high-stakes cases involving demands for massive statutory damages on behalf of large putative classes, and the cases involve novel and interesting questions as courts grapple with attempts to apply old laws in new contexts.”
