Restructuring partner Lois Deasey and Private Equity partner Martin Weatherston-Wilson have been featured in The Lawyer’s Hot 100 list for 2025, which celebrates the most innovative and creative lawyers from in-house, private practice and the Bar.

The publication recognizes Lois as “one of London’s foremost restructuring specialists,” highlighting her instrumental role in advising on the multibillion-dollar financial restructuring of Petrofac, the landmark restructuring of Premier Oil’s $2.7 billion debt, and the high-profile restructuring of Noble Group. Lois is also commended for her advocacy for diversity and inclusion within the legal industry, having served as the co-chair of Weil’s Taskforce on Women’s Engagement and Retention and as an active member of the London office’s diversity committee and the Women@Weil committee.

Martin is named as a next generation private equity partner, particularly for his leading role in advising Sun European Partners on its sale of environmental risk group Adler & Allan, which involved a highly competitive auction process. The publication also notes Martin’s role in launching Humanity Insured, a charitable initiative dedicated to climate change created in collaboration with the Firm’s client Howden, and his ongoing effort to promote diversity in the legal industry.
