Antitrust/Competition partner Megan Granger has been named one of Law360’s 2023 “Rising Stars” for Competition in recognition of her expertise and accomplishments advising on complex antitrust matters.
Megan was recognized for her leading role on the Weil team that serves as lead global antitrust counsel to Microsoft in its pending $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard Inc. She told the publication that navigating various regulatory schemes for the deal has been challenging but “strategically interesting.”
"It's really pushed me professionally,” she said. “And showed me how the different regulatory regimes differ around the world."
Her motivation comes from focusing on delivering valuable service to her clients, she told Law360. Megan also noted that one of the reasons she chose antitrust law as a career was because of the different businesses she has the opportunity to work with.
"It's the one area of law where you get to really understand the market, and the business, and the industry. And in order to make all the legal arguments, you have to really understand those facts," she said.
