Megan Granger Named to Global Competition Review’s 40 Under 40 for 2024

Antitrust partner Megan Granger has been named to Global Competition Review’s 40 Under 40 for 2024, recognizing her among “the next generation of leading antitrust practitioners.”

In a profile, Megan underscored the tremendous impact of working closely with other Weil partners, particularly on Microsoft Corporation’s $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, which she highlights as one of the most important matters she has worked on to date.

“I have been fortunate to learn from numerous partners at Weil, but over the past few years, I have gained so much by working closely with Michael Moiseyev,” Megan said. “Since he arrived, Weil represented Microsoft and Meta in two of the largest and most influential merger clearances in recent history. I worked directly with Mike on both of these highly complex matters and gained invaluable insights about what it takes not only to secure approval for these mammoth transactions, but more importantly, to be entrusted with their most high-profile, bet-the-company matters. Mike has been an enormous source of guidance and insight through it all.”

In the next phase of her career, Megan said she looks forward to working with up and coming antitrust lawyers. Asked for advice she would give them, Megan said “the most successful lawyers and economists have one thing in common: they know the facts cold. There is no substitute for immersing yourself in the facts of a case.”

“Being able to pass along the lessons I’ve learned, and offer insights to lawyers who are just getting started, is tremendously gratifying to me,” Megan noted. “I hope that I can offer advice that has a positive impact for the next generation, thereby strengthening the firm.”
