Olivia Greer, Head of Weil’s U.S. Privacy and Cybersecurity practice, and Charan Sandhu, Co-Head of Weil’s Technology and IP Transactions practice, have been selected among the winners of Corporate Counsel’s 2024 Women, Influence & Power in Law Awards.

Olivia and Charan are among 10 lawyers honored in the “Mentor & Mentee Collaboration” category, which commends “in-house and law firm women leaders and allies who have demonstrated a commitment to advancing the empowerment of women in law.”

Charan has served as a mentor to Olivia for more than a decade. Over this time, Olivia has quickly progressed from an associate to counsel to partner and now to Head of Weil’s U.S. Privacy and Cybersecurity practice. The pair collaborated closely as Olivia crafted and subsequently executed her plan focused on advising clients on the business implications of new and evolving privacy laws, cyber risk and artificial intelligence opportunities and obstacles. Olivia’s work has propelled the practice to one recognized globally as an authority on such issues.

Like Charan, Olivia is keenly aware of the need to pay forward the opportunities she has had. She recorded more than 40 hours mentoring other Weil lawyers in 2023 and remains active this year. She is also active with Women in Security and Privacy, a nonprofit whose mission is to advance women and underrepresented communities to lead the future of privacy and security.

Corporate Counsel will publish profiles of the honorees in September and winners will be honored at an awards dinner in Chicago on September 24.
