Weil Bolsters Antitrust Team with Distinguished Tech Lawyer, FTC Veteran Jasmine Rosner

NEW YORK, SEPTEMBER 16, 2024: International law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP announced today that former U.S. Federal Trade Commission official and leading antitrust attorney Jasmine Rosner has joined the firm as a partner in the Antitrust practice group, based in the Washington, D.C. office.

Jasmine arrives from Amazon, where she has been advising the company on competition issues as Senior Corporate Counsel. Prior to Amazon, she served for nearly a decade in prominent roles at the FTC, most recently leading merger and non-merger investigations and enforcement actions.

“Jasmine is a highly regarded expert in all aspects of antitrust law with a reputation for achieving successful outcomes for leading corporations and the federal government,” said Weil Executive Partner Barry Wolf. “It is our pleasure to welcome her to Weil.”

“Jasmine has a high profile in the antitrust bar and a strong track record in both government enforcement and as an in-house counsel at one of the world’s top technology companies,” said David Lender, Co-Chair of Weil’s global Litigation Department. “With her broad experience, she will be able to advise clients across all manner of global M&A transactions, complex investigations and commercial litigation matters.”

“We know Jasmine well and are delighted to welcome her to Weil. She counsels on the most multi-faceted antitrust issues for one of the world’s largest companies, and brings deep experience leading high-profile merger clearance and antitrust litigation and enforcement matters. That expertise will be enormously beneficial to our clients,” said Michael Moiseyev, Co-Head of Weil’s Antitrust practice in the U.S.

Jasmine led global M&A regulatory strategy for Amazon on a significant number of major acquisitions. During her time at the FTC, she was Attorney Advisor to Commissioner Noah Phillips, counsel to three Directors of the Bureau of Competition and a lead attorney in the Mergers I division.

“Joining Weil provides a rare opportunity for me to reunite with former colleagues and work alongside other top practitioners to serve the needs of many of the world’s leading corporations,” said Jasmine. “I look forward to working with the team to secure positive outcomes for our clients.”

Jasmine joins Weil just two weeks after the arrival of fellow FTC veteran Mark Seidman in the Washington, D.C. office.
