Weil was honored with the “HBCU Outreach and Empowerment Award” at the 10th Annual National HBCU Pre-Law Summit & Law Expo 2023 in Washington, D.C. The award recognizes the Firm’s support of this unique and impactful pipeline event, which is the only major pre-law event in the U.S. solely created for students and alumni of historically Black colleges and universities interested in law careers. Mona Saghri, Senior Manager of Social Responsibility and Weil Foundation, accepted the award on the Firm’s behalf.

The summit provides participants with access to game-changing information, resources and connections that many of these students would otherwise not have access to, though are necessary for empowerment. Attendees leave with a better understanding of what it takes to be successful in the challenging path to getting admitted into law school, excelling in law school, passing the bar exam and searching for legal positions while simultaneously creating opportunities for themselves.
