Weil has been recognized for its work advising Advent International on its $6.4 billion acquisition of Maxar Technologies, which was named “Private Equity Deal of the Year” at the 2024 IFLR Americas Awards.

The Weil team that advised Advent International was led by M&A partner James R. Griffin, Co-Head of U.S. Private Equity Ramona Nee and Co-Managing Partner of Weil's London office Jonathan Wood.

The awards honor “the most innovative cross-border” transactions from 2023. International Financial Law Review determined the winners for the annual Americas Awards via independent research, consisting of submissions and interviews with lawyers across the industry.
