The sale of Main Event Entertainment, a deal led by Weil’s Mergers & Acquisitions team and Dallas-based M&A partner James R. Griffin, has been named “M&A Deal of the Year, $250-$999 million category,” at the 2023 D CEO and Association for Corporate Growth-DFW Mergers & Acquisitions Awards.
Main Event, with 50 family entertainment centers in 17 states, was sold in 2022 to Dave & Buster’s Entertainment, Inc., a NASDAQ-listed owner and operator of 145 North American entertainment and dining venues. Weil advised Main Event, previously owned by Ardent Leisure Group Limited and RedBird Capital Partners, in the all-cash transaction representing a total enterprise value of $835M.
