Weil has been named one of five finalists for “Litigation Department of the Year” at the 2024 Florida Legal Awards, recognizing Weil’s decades-long dominance in the South Florida legal market.

This is the Firm’s third “Litigation Department of the Year” recognition by Am Law publications in the last year, following being named “Litigation Department of the Year” in the Class Action category by the New York Law Journal and being recognized as one of six finalists for “Litigation Department of the Year – General Litigation” by the National Law Journal.

Brian Liegel, counsel in the Complex Commercial Litigation and Appeals and Strategic Counseling practices, was among 27 winners in the “On the Rise” category, which honors top legal talent under 40. The award recognizes Brian’s impact in Florida and nationally, litigating, wining and resolving multi-billion dollar disputes in several “largest-ever” environmental contamination, antitrust class action and consumer protection class action cases.

The awards will be presented by Daily Business Review, which recognizes the best attorneys and firms in the Florida legal community.
