Weil’s global Antitrust practice has been shortlisted for three awards at Global Competition Review’s GCR Awards 2025.

The Firm was shortlisted in the “Merger Control Matter of the Year – Europe” category for serving as antitrust counsel to Microsoft in the U.K. Competition and Markets Authority’s ongoing investigation into the tech giant’s partnership with OpenAI as well as on the CMA’s ground-breaking clearance of the Vodafone and Three UK joint venture, advising Virgin Media O2.

The Vodafone/Three UK joint venture was also shortlisted for “Matter of the Year,” a global category which encompasses all forms of antitrust.

Weil was also shortlisted in the “Litigation of the Year – Non-Cartel Prosecution” category for serving as counsel to Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc. in an antitrust dispute with competitor Novartis AG, in which Weil secured a key reversal at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

Winners will be determined via online voting through February 14, and announced at the 15th Annual GCR Awards ceremony in Washington, D.C. on April 1.
