Biography
Abgail Kalonga is an associate in Weil’s London office, specialising in cross-border acquisition and leveraged finance for private equity sponsors, corporates, funds and financial institutions.
Representative experience includes acting for:
- Howden on the amendment and restatement of its existing credit agreement, the establishment of a new $2.925 billion first-lien dollar term loan and a new €900 million first-lien euro term loan, along with the increase of its revolving credit facility to £630 million
- Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan Board on its portfolio company Busy Bees on various matters, including its refinancing and Holdco PIK financing
- Bain Capital on the financing of its acquisition of the Kantar business from WPP plc
- Bain Capital on the financing of its acquisition of the Valeo Foods business
- Advent International on the financing of various acquisitions as well as refinancings, recapitalisations and bids including the take privates of Cobham plc and Laird PLC; carve out acquisition of GE’s Distributed Power business (Innio)
- Montagu Private Equity on its acquisition of ISI Emerging Markets Group
- Permira on the financing of its acquisition of Hana Group
- Lenders on the financing of Parks of Poland
- Lead arrangers on the refinancing of the Verisure Group
- Morgan Stanley, Danske, DNB, and another major financial institution as arrangers, in connection with the senior secured facilities to Sector Alarm
- Lead arrangers on the refinancing of the Thunderhead Group
