Amrita Mukherjee
Amrita Mukherjee is an associate in Weil’s Banking & Finance practice and is based in New York. Amrita participates in advising borrowers, private equity sponsors, banks and other financial institutions in a variety of financing transactions, including first and second lien credit facilities, middle market and large cap financings, cross-border and domestic acquisition financings and debt restructuring transactions.

Amrita has been part of the teams advising:

  • Blackstone in its $300 million acquisition of a minority stake in Recurrent Ventures
  • BroadStreet Partners, Inc. (a portfolio company of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan), in a $1.4 billion senior secured term and revolving facility to finance its acquisition of Westland Insurance Group Ltd
  • BroadStreet Partners, Inc. (a portfolio company of Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan), in its $62 million senior secured term and revolving facility for Westland Insurance Group Ltd
  • Cornell Capital in senior secured term and revolving facilities to finance its acquisition of Advancing Eyecare
  • Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan in $820 million first and second lien facilities to finance its acquisition of Vantage Elevator Solutions
  • Permira Advisers in senior secured term and revolving facilities to finance its acquisition of Reorg Research, Inc.
  • TE Connectivity, Ltd. in a senior unsecured revolving facility for Tyco Electronics Group S.A.
  • Thomas H. Lee Partners LP, as sponsor, in its senior secured term and revolving facility for More Cowbell II, LLC to finance its acquisition of Standish Management LLC

Prior to joining Weil, Amrita was a Finance associate at another international law firm.

Amrita received her LL.M. from the University of Chicago Law School and her LL.B., with honors, and B.A., with honors, from the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research, where she served as a Managing and Content Editor of the Indian Journal of Law and Economics.
