Andreas Fogel
Andreas Fogel is counsel in the Corporate department of our Munich office. He focuses on private equity, mergers & acquisitions as well as corporate law. Andreas has advised on a variety of cross-border and domestic transactions and further has extensive experience in complex corporate reorganizations and restructurings.

His experience includes advising:

  • Superior Industries International, Inc., a global manufacturer of cast aluminum wheels, in the reorganization of its European business operations
  • Carlyle and CVC Capital Partners in their acquisition of PAS Financial Advisory AG through their joint portfolio company CFGI
  • Shareholders of Swibox AG on their strategic partnership with SRG & SERVE Group
  • BPEA EQT in the sale of HCP, a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of cosmetics packaging, to Carlyle
  • KKR in various transactions including:
    • the acquisition of a majority stake in payment service provider heidelpay group (now: Unzer group) from AnaCap Financial Partners as well as various subsequent add-on transactions in the payment sector
    • the financial investment in a leading advisory firm
  • MW Storage Fund on its joint venture with respect to the development, construction and operation of Germany's largest battery energy storage facility
  • Tree Energy Solutions in connection with its contemplated cooperation with Open Grid Europe regarding the development of a CO2 infrastructure in Germany
  • DIC Asset AG (now: Branicks Group AG) in the acquisition of a majority stake in listed VIB Vermögen AG
  • UK-based private equity fund in various transactions including:
    • the take-private of Olympic Entertainment Group as well as various cross-border corporate reorganizations and carve-out transactions
    • various acquisitions of companies active in the entertainment and gaming sector
    • the acquisition of a software solutions provider
    • its bid to acquire PharmaZell
  • Exide Technologies LLC, a leading global provider of stored energy solutions for the automotive and industrial markets, in the cross-border reorganization of its business and the sale of the European business to a strategic investor
  • Advent International in the acquisition of a minority stake in Aareon AG from Aareal Bank AG

Andreas studied law at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich (law degree 2015). He completed his legal clerkship in Munich and New York and was admitted to practice in Germany in 2018. He is co-author of the International Comparative Guide to Private Equity 2023 for Germany.

Andreas is fluent in German and English.
