Biography
Andrew Distell is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in New York. Andrew participates in the representation of private equity firms and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and general corporate matters.
Andrew has been part of the teams advising:
- American Securities in its approximately $1.9 billion sale of Paragon Medical to AMETEK, Inc.
- Aterian Investment Partners in its acquisition of Outlook Group
- Blackstone in its $130 million acquisition of a minority stake in PayCargo, LLC (a portfolio company of Insight Partners)
- Brookfield Asset Management Ltd. in its acquisition of the Private Equity Solutions secondaries business from DWS Alternatives Global Ltd
- Centerbridge Partners and its portfolio company True Food Kitchen in the receipt of a $100 million investment from HumanCo and MannaTree Partners
- CVC Capital Partners in its acquisition of Radwell International
- Lineage Logistics, LLC in its $208 million acquisition of Turvo Inc.
- Northleaf Capital, together with Liberty Hall, in the formation of Liberty Hall Capital NL Partners, L.P. and in such fund's single asset acquisition of Accurus Aerospace Corporation
- TruArc Partners in its acquisition of Watchtower Security, LLC
Andrew joined Weil as a summer associate in 2020.
Andrew received his J.D. from Harvard Law School, where he served as the Digest Executive Editor of the Harvard Journal of Law & Technology, and his B.A., cum laude, from Duke University.
