Biography
Anthony Collins is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in New York. Anthony participates in the representation of private equity firms and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and general corporate matters.
Anthony has been part of the teams advising:
- American Securities in its acquisition of Meridian Adhesives Group
- Blackstone in its acquisition of a majority stake in New Tradition Media
- CPM Holdings, Inc. in a $400 million equity investment from Koch Equity Development LLC
- CPP Investments, together with Silver Lake, in the $12.5 billion take-private of Qualtrics
- Hilco Global in the formation of a joint venture with TPG Angelo Gordon for the purpose of acquiring and financing certain consumer brands and IP in partnership with Bluestar Alliance, LLC, including Hurley, Justice, Scotch & Soda, bebe and Brookstone brands, among others
- Montagu Private Equity LLP and ISI Markets in its acquisition of EPFR, Inc. (d/b/a Emerging Portfolio Fund Research)
Prior to joining Weil, Anthony was an associate at another international law firm. He previously taught High Growth Corporate Transactions at Cornell Tech, where he served as an Adjunct Professor of Law and Senior Lecturer in the Law, Technology and Entrepreneurship LL.M. Program.
Anthony received his J.D. from Cornell Law School and his A.B. from Duke University.
