Biography
Claudia Duarte-Sousa is an associate in the Technology and IP Transactions practice in London, and a member of the firm’s Privacy and Cybersecurity Group.
Claudia advises both domestic and international clients across a range of sectors including private equity, financial services, social media, media sport and entertainment, technology, and telecoms in connection with commercial contracts, intellectual property licensing, global data privacy matters, e-commerce, information technology, and diligence of private equity and venture capital transactions.
Prior to joining Weil, Claudia trained and qualified as an associate in the Data and Technology Transaction team at another US-headquartered firm in London.

- Facebook Inc, on the acquisition of Mapillary Inc, a Swedish based mapping platform
- Platinum Equity in connection with its acquisition of the leading global aerospace and defence supply chain service provider and aircraft part suppliers
- Onex Corporation on its €3.75 billion acquisition of the second largest provider of aseptic carton packaging globally
- Astorg Partners on its acquisition of a global producer of audio mixing consoles
- Platinum Equity in connection with its acquisition of a media company
- Hellman & Fiedman’s acquisition of a Dutch software company
- Cohen Media Group in connection with the acquisition of Curzon Cinemas, composed of the cinema business, Artificial Eye distribution arm, and Curzon Home Cinema streaming platform
- Beyoncé and Parkwood Entertainment in connection with a cross-border corporate acquisition and apparel license
- A joint venture controlled by Raven Capital Management LLC on its acquisition of David Ian Productions, the world leading musical theatre producer
- The General Sports Authority of Saudi Arabia in relation to a live events and broadcast rights agreement with WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment)
