Biography
Jamie Turley is an associate in the Restructuring group in London. As part of the team, he specialises in UK and cross-border financial restructurings, acting for debtors, banks, distressed fund investors and insolvency practitioners.
Jamie also has notable pro bono experience, with a previous representation selected as ‘highly commended’ in the P2P Awards 2022.
Prior to joining Weil, Jamie was a member of the restructuring team at a US firm in London.
Representative experience includes:
- Advising an ad hoc committee of Ukraine’s Eurobonds in connection with Ukraine’s $23 billion sovereign debt restructuring
- Advising an ad hoc creditors’ committee of Zambia’s Eurobond holders in relation to Zambia’s sovereign restructuring
- Advising Teneo as administrators of VTB Capital PLC
- Advising Vice Media, as debtors’ counsel, in the chapter 11 cases of the global digital media and broadcasting company in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of New York*
- Advising the ad hoc committee of bondholders on the restructuring of VIC Properties S.A.
- Advising Citibank, N.A., in its capacity as administrative agent and lender under a revolving credit agreement in connection with the Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases of Valaris plc and certain of its subsidiaries*
- Advising a Sponsor on its portfolio company’s restructuring options*
- Advising an agent in connection with a multi-jurisdictional enforcement by lenders over a real estate group*
- Advising the joint administrators of Cox & Kings on the successful pre-packaged sale of the business and assets to a trade competitor*
- Advising the joint liquidators of an event sector company on the successful sale of its main asset to a trade competitor*
