Kathryn Buggs is an associate in Weil’s Antitrust group. Her practice focuses on regulatory approval for mergers and acquisitions across a range of industries, as well as civil antitrust litigation.
Prior to joining Weil, Kathryn worked at an economic consulting firm in Boston, focusing on civil antitrust litigation, merger clearance, criminal securities litigation, and antitrust counseling, among other practice areas. She received her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School, where she served as a Senior Editor of the Michigan Law Review. Kathryn also authored a Note, “Gotta Get Those Ill-Gotten Gains: Improving the FTC’s Authority to Seek Disgorgement in Antitrust Cases,” which was published in the Michigan Law Review and selected as the “Best Antitrust Student Publication of 2023” by the Jerry S. Cohen Memorial Fund Writing Award committee. She received her B.S. in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
