Biography
Kathryn Graham is an associate in Weil’s Antitrust group. Her practice focuses on obtaining regulatory approval for mergers and acquisitions, government investigations, and antitrust counseling. She has experience in several industries including nuclear energy, pharmaceuticals, automotive, retail, and asset management.
Prior to joining Weil, Kathryn served as an intern for the Mergers I Division of the U.S. Federal Trade Commission Bureau of Competition where she assisted with active investigations related to proposed mergers and acquisitions in the pharmaceutical industry. She also maintains an active pro bono practice, including assisting immigrant victims of domestic violence, and work on behalf of the Innocence Project.
Kathryn received her J.D., cum laude, from the Georgetown University Law Center where she served on The Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics. She earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan.
Kathryn’s recent experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:
- Brookfield Business Partners in the $7.9 billion sale of Westinghouse Electric Company, a global leader in technologies and services to the nuclear power industry, to a consortium involving Brookfield Renewable Partners and Cameco Corporation.
- Brookfield’s $8.3 billion acquisition of CDK Global Inc., a leading provider of technology services and software solutions to the automotive industry.
- Alpek, an ALFA subsidiary and leading global chemical manufacturing company based in Mexico, in its $620 million acquisition of OCTAL Holding SAOC.
- KIK Custom Products Inc. in the sale of its Auto Business Unit (“Prestone”) to Recochem Inc., a global manufacturer of automotive transportation fluids and certain household chemical products that is backed by private investment firm, CapVest.
- Walgreens Boots Alliance, Inc. in its acquisition of 120 retail pharmacies from Brookshire Grocery Company.
- Foundation Building Materials, a portfolio company of American Securities LLC, in its acquisition of assets from the Marjam Supply Company group.
- Genstar Capital in its acquisition of Munch’s Supply, and the acquisition of Overall Parts Solutions by its portfolio company, OEConnection.
