Biography
Kristen Shaw is an associate in Weil’s Banking & Finance practice and is based in New York. Kristen participates in advising borrowers, private equity sponsors, banks and other financial institutions in a variety of financing transactions, including first and second lien credit facilities, middle market and large cap financings, cross-border and domestic acquisition financings and debt restructuring transactions.
Kristen has been part of the teams advising:
- Ares’ financing of Eurazeo’s investment in the BMS Group
- Clayton, Dubilier & Rice and Carestream Dental LLC in its senior secured term loan and revolving facility
- Goldman Sachs Bank USA and the other lead arrangers in connection with a $1.540 billion term loan B for WWEX Group
- KKR Capital Markets Partners, as lead arranger, in multiple financing transactions for ERM, a KKR portfolio company
- Sculptor Investments IV S.a r.l, as lender, in issuance of $75 million senior secured floating rate notes by Petroleum Geo-Services AS
- SoftBank Group Corp. and SoftBank Vision Fund II in transactions related to debt and equity investments in WeWork, Inc.
Prior to joining Weil, Kristen served as a judicial extern to the Honorable James L. Dennis, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.
Kristen received her J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Tulane University Law School, where she served as Managing Editor of the Tulane Law Review. While in law school, she served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Harvey Schlesinger, U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Florida. Kristen received her B.A, cum laude, from Florida State University.
