Lucas Kilravey
Lucas Kilravey is an associate in Weil’s Real Estate practice and is based in New York. Lucas participates in the representation of Firm clients with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures for real estate related companies.

Lucas has been part of the teams advising on the following matters:

  • Advent International and its portfolio company QW Holding Corp. (Quala) in Quala’s merger with Boasso Global, Inc. (a portfolio company of KKR)
  • Goldman Sachs in its $440 million strategic investment in BrightNight and in the sale of its Personal Financial Management unit to wealth management firm Creative Planning
  • The Kroger Company in its proposed $24.6 billion merger with Albertsons Companies, Inc.
  • The Kroger Company, along with The Albertsons Companies, Inc., in the approximately $1.9 billion sale of 413 stores, as well as select banners, distribution centers, offices and private label brands, to C&S Wholesale Grocers, LLC in connection with Kroger’s proposed merger with Albertsons Companies Inc.
  • Lee Equity Partners in its sale of Cadent Technology, Inc.

Lucas received his J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School, his M.A. from Memorial University of Newfoundland and his B.A., honors, from Concordia University.

Lucas was awarded the 2022 One-to-Watch Alumni Award from Osgoode Hall Alumni Association and he received the Emerging Leader Award from Start Proud – Fier Depart as part of the 2021 cohort of the Leaders To Be Proud Of.

Lucas is also passionate about advancing access to justice and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI) in the legal profession and beyond. He has been actively involved in various pro bono and non-profit initiatives, such as the Community and Legal Aid Services Program (CLASP) at Osgoode Hall Law School, Pro Bono Students Canada (PBSC), BLGTQA+, the national LGBTQ2S+ employee resource group at his former firm and WeilPride. Most recently, Lucas co-founded and serves as the inaugural President and Chair of the Canadian Association of LGBTQ2S+ Lawyers (Call-Acal) and the Prisme Conference (Canada's annual national 2SLGBTQ+ legal conference). Lucas has received multiple awards and recognition for contributions to these causes, and continues to support and mentor others who share this vision.
