Shane Kuse is an associate in Weil’s Securities Litigation practice, where he focuses on defending securities class actions, shareholder derivative litigation, and fiduciary duty litigation, in state and federal courts.
Some of Shane’s recent experience includes working on Weil teams representing:
- Gores Holdings IV, a SPAC sponsored by The Gores Group, its former directors and officers, and certain affiliates in ongoing fiduciary duty litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery relating to Gores Holdings IV’s $16.1 billion merger with United Wholesale Mortgage
- An American-Taiwanese company specializing in memory controllers in a dispute pending before an international arbitration tribunal arising from a failed merger
- Brookfield Asset Management in shareholder litigation related to its acquisition of GGP, Inc. in the Delaware Court of Chancery
Shane also maintains an active pro bono practice, including work on asylum cases.
Shane received his J.D., magna cum laude and Order of the Coif, from Fordham University School of Law, where he was the Editor-in-Chief of the Fordham Sports Law Forum and the Senior Writing and Research Editor of the Fordham Intellectual Property, Media & Entertainment Law Journal. He earned his B.S., cum laude, from Loyola University Chicago.
