Biography
Stephen Gobes is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in New York. Stephen participates in the representation of private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions and divestitures.
Stephen has been part of the teams advising:
- Blackstone in connection with its investment in Allied Benefit Systems, LLC and the acquisition by its portfolio company Sustana Group, of Hanna Paper
- CIIG Capital Partners II, Inc., a SPAC sponsored by CIIG Management II LLC, in its business combination with Zapp Electric Vehicles Ltd. that implied a combined enterprise value of $573 million
- CVC Capital Partners in its acquisition of Radwell International
- Goldman Sachs Asset Management in its $1.04 billion equity investment and subordinated debt financing in World Insurance Associates LLC (a portfolio company of Charlesbank Capital Partners)in a transaction that implies a World Insurance enterprise value of approximately $3.4 billion
- InfraRed Capital Partners Limited and InfraRed LiveOak Investments, LLC in sale of its minority stake in LiveOak Fiber, LLC to MEAG
- Luxor Capital Group in its investment in Montage Hotels & Resorts (d/b/a Montage International)
- Reservoir Capital Group, LLC in sale of its majority stake in ClearCaptions LLC to CC Opportunities, LLC
Stephen received his J.D. from New York University School of Law and his B.A. from Franklin & Marshall College.
