Crain’s New York Business has named Global Litigation Department Co-Chair David Lender among its 2025 “Notable Litigators & Trial Attorneys.” This follows his selection by Law360 as a 2024 Trials “MVP.”

David is one of 84 honorees based in the New York area who are recognized as “the litigators and trial attorneys who ensure access to the civil justice system and further commercial activity in the region.”

In a profile of David, Crain’s noted that he recently secured “30 for 30” status, taking 30 cases to verdict or decision as first-chair in 30 years of practice.

Additionally, Crain’s highlighted what David said is his biggest career win, securing an extremely favorable settlement for several minor league baseball clubs challenging Major League Baseball’s restructuring of its minor league system, and in turn, its 100-year-old antitrust exemption.

The publication also noted David’s victories for GoodRx, securing a $55 million judgment after arbitration trial proceedings, and ExxonMobil, defeating contract claims before a federal jury. 

Crain’s New York Business selected the winners from nominations, recognizing candidates who hold senior leadership roles and demonstrate outstanding professional accomplishments, as well as a commitment to pro bono work and industry involvement.
