Dan S. Nobil
Dan Nobil, counsel in Weil’s Antitrust Group, focuses his practice on U.S. and global pre-merger notification and regulatory review processes and investigations. He counsels clients on compliance with the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, among other antitrust and regulatory areas. Dan advises private equity sponsors and their portfolio companies as well as large public companies spanning various industries.

Prior to joining Weil as an associate, Dan was an associate with an international law firm in Brussels and worked in the antitrust practices of international law firms in Brussels and London.

Dan received his Bachelor of Laws from the University of Manchester and his Master of Laws in International Business & Economic Law from Georgetown University Law Center. He is fluent in French and Hebrew.

  • American Securities in multiple matters, including the acquisition of Conair Corporation
  • Brookfield Asset Management Inc. in multiple matters, including Brookfield Business Partners’ $8B sale of Westinghouse Electric Company to a consortium led by Cameco Corporation and Brookfield Renewable Partners
  • Cedar Fair, L.P. in its $8B merger with Six Flags
  • EQT Partners and Storytel AB, a publicly traded company portfolio company of EQT, in the $135 million acquisition of Audiobooks.com
  • Goldman Sachs in multiple matters, including the acquisition of a majority stake in Sila Services and Omega Healthcare Management Services’ investment by OTPP
  • The Gores Group in multiple matters, including Gores Metropoulos II, Inc.’s $1.925B business combination with Sonder Holdings Inc., Gores Holdings IV, Inc.’s $16.1B business combination with United Wholesale Mortgage and Gores Holdings VI, Inc.’s $2.9B business combination with Matterport, Inc.
  • H.I.G. Capital in its approximately C$1.3B take-private acquisition of Converge Technology Solutions
  • Kainos Capital in multiple matters, including its sale of good2grow to Wind Point Partners
  • Lee Equity Partners in the sale of its interests in Simplicity Group Holdings to SkyKnight Capital
