Biography
Jacqui Bogucki is a partner in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in Houston. Jacqui advises private equity sponsors and strategic clients on a wide range of corporate transactions, with a particular focus on the infrastructure, digital, technology, energy and energy transition sectors. She provides sophisticated, commercial advice to clients on public and private mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, investment transactions, joint ventures, corporate governance and general corporate matters. Jacqui’s clients have included private equity firms such as BlackRock’s Global and Climate Infrastructure Funds, DigitalBridge Partners and KKR.
- Goldman Sachs in its $440 million strategic investment in BrightNight
- BlackRock’s Global Energy & Power Infrastructure Funds in various transactions, including its joint venture with AT&T in fiber platform Gigapower, take private of international LNG shipper GasLog Ltd., and renewable project joint ventures with NextEra Energy Partners
- BlackRock’s Climate Infrastructure Fund in its announced $500 million capital commitment in solar and energy storage developer Recurrent Energy
- DigitalBridge Partners and IFM Investors in their $11 billion acquisition of data center operator Switch, Inc.
- KKR in various transactions, including its investment in fiber service provider Metronet Holdings LLC, acquisition of a majority stake in Refresco Group B.V., joint venture with SemGroup to form SemCAMS Midstream ULC, joint venture with The Williams Companies, Inc. and the concurrent $1.2 billion acquisition of Discovery Midstream
- GI Partners’ Infrastructure funds and its portfolio companies in their acquisition of Rise Broadband and in a strategic investment by Ares in Clarity Telecom (d/b/a Bluepeak)
- Apollo Global Management, Inc. in its $200 million preferred equity investment in FirstDigital
- Waste Management, Inc. in its $4.6 billion acquisition of Advanced Disposal Services, Inc. and concurrent divestiture to GFL Environmental Inc. of more than $800 million in assets
- Crestwood Holdings LLC and affiliates of First Reserve Corporation in a series of transactions to facilitate First Reserve’s exit from Crestwood Equity Partners LP
- Private equity-backed operator in a development capital raise for a U.S. carbon capture and sequestration project
Jacqui received her J.D., magna cum laude, from the SMU Dedman School of Law where she was a member of the SMU Law Review Association and served as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Air Law & Commerce. Jacqui earned dual B.S.s, summa cum laude, in Finance and Accounting from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business. Jacqui also graduated summa cum laude from Barrett, The Honors College at Arizona State University.
