Biography
Jonas Mutukistna is an associate in Weil’s Private Equity practice and is based in New York. Jonas participates in the representation of private equity firms and their portfolio companies with respect to mergers, acquisitions, divestitures and general corporate matters.
Jonas has been part of the teams advising:
- Avista Capital Partners in the acquisition of WellSpring Consumer Healthcare and Wellspring’s carve-out transaction involving the acquisition of skin care brands A+D, Solarcaine, Cortate and Complex 15 from Bayer AG
- CD&R in the acquisitions of Atalian and the Facilities Services business of OCS Group
- Citation Capital in its acquisition of a majority stake in Aptive Environmental
- Dyal Capital, a division of Blue Owl, in Dyal’s minority investment in HPS Investment Partners and HPS Investment Partner’s strategic partnership with The Guardian Life Insurance Company of America
- Glencore, CPP Investments and BC, as shareholders, in Viterra Ltd.’s approximately $18 billion business combination with Bunge Ltd.
- Goldman Sachs in its acquisition of Sila Services and in the sale of its Personal Financial Management unit to wealth management firm Creative Planning
- Harvest Hosts (a portfolio company of Stripes LLC) in its acquisition of On The Road Books Ltd. (d/b/a Brit Stops)
- ICG Strategic Equity in a single asset transaction involving Zip Car Wash
Jonas joined Weil as a summer associate in 2020.
Jonas received his J.D./M.B.A from the University of Toronto Faculty of Law, where he was a Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholar, and the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto, where he was a recipient of the Andrew Alexander Kinghorn Fellowship, and his B.S. from McGill University.
