Patrick May
Patrick May is an associate in the Antitrust practice, where he advises on all aspects of EU and UK competition law, including merger control, foreign subsidies, restrictive practices, market dominance and general counselling and compliance.

Patrick qualified in 2022 following completion of his training contract at Weil. Prior to joining Weil, Patrick worked for a UK corporate bank for their strategy team.

Patrick’s experience encompasses a broad range of industries, including banking, technology, telecommunications, and industrial/manufacturing sectors.

  • Microsoft Corporation on its $68.7 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard, including Phase 2 investigations in the EU and UK and appeal proceedings before the UK Competition Appeal Tribunal
  • An affiliate of PSG Equity L.L.C in relation to the sale of Nomentia, the Finnish cash and treasury management solutions company, to Inflexion
  • An affiliate of Lone Star Funds on the €5.2 billion sale of MBCC Group, the former BASF Construction Chemicals business headquartered in Mannheim, Germany, to Sika
