Candace is heralded as one of the top emerging leaders in bankruptcy and restructuring in the U.S., having most recently received recognition as a distinguished practitioner from the New York Law Journal, the American Bankruptcy Institute, Crain’s New York Business, The Deal, Law360, and Turnarounds & Workouts. She has advised companies on some of the most significant in-court and out-of-court restructurings in recent years, including J.Crew, AMC, Sears, Insys Therapeutics and Breitburn Energy, as well as the secured lenders in Hertz – and has the experience of working on Lehman Brothers, which generated the largest chapter 11 cases in history.
Candace spends considerable time on pro bono matters, guiding individuals in chapter 7 proceedings and advising small businesses in distress.
