Weil is advising NRDC Equity Management Company on its acquisition of Galeria Karstadt Kaufhof (Galeria) out of insolvency, Germany's largest department store chain and the second largest department store group in Europe.
NRDC, together with partner Bernd Beetz, emerged as the winner of a competitive auction process to acquire the Galeria business. The transaction is expected to close in the summer of 2024.
