Biography

Jacob Altik
Jacob Altik is an associate in Weil’s Complex Commercial Litigation and Appeals and Strategic Counseling practice groups. He focuses on litigating complex business disputes in state and federal courts.

Some of Jacob’s recent notable experience includes serving on Weil teams representing:

  • Elanco Animal Health in securities class actions arising out of statements made regarding inventory and distribution channels.
  • Washington State University in a high-profile dispute regarding the future of the Pac-12 athletic Conference.
  • Zion Williamson in a dispute between the 2019 NBA #1 draft pick and his former agent.

Jacob graduated summa cum laude from the University of Michigan Law School, earning Order of the Coif honors. He also served as an Editor for the Michigan Law Review. Jacob earned his Master’s degree in Political Science from the University of New Mexico and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and International Affairs from George Washington University. Prior to joining Weil, Jacob served as a law clerk to the Honorable Neomi Rao of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit and to the Honorable Joan Larsen of the U.S. Court Of Appeals for the 6th Circuit.
