Biography

As a law student, Mia served as a volunteer legal intern with the National Courts Section at the Department of Justice. Prior to attending law school, she worked as a paralegal at a large law firm in Washington, D.C., where she focused on governmental regulation of the financial services industry. As an undergraduate, Mia served as an intern in the Federal Trade Commission's Division of Consumer and Business Education.
Mia received her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served on the Managing Board of the Virginia Law Review and participated in the Legal Aid Justice Center’s Youth Advocacy Clinic. She graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Diplomacy & World Affairs and a minor in French Studies from Occidental College.
