Weil represented Luxor Capital Group in its strategic investment in Montage International, the premier hospitality management company founded by Alan J. Fuerstman. In addition to investments by affiliate funds of Luxor, the investment group is comprised of significant commitments from funds managed by Goldman Sachs Asset Management and funds and accounts managed by BlackRock, Inc.
Montage International features the ultra-luxury brand Montage Hotels & Resorts, the contemporary luxury brand Pendry Hotels & Resorts, as well as each brand’s array of luxury residential offerings. This transaction will allow Montage to accelerate its next stage of growth while also providing its long-term minority shareholder, Ohana Real Estate Investors, with a highly successful exit from their ownership position.
The Weil team was led by Private Equity partner Trey Muldrow and included Private Equity associates Stephen Iya, Stephen Gobes and Talli Sharp; Banking & Finance partner Courtney Marcus and associates Angela Estrada and Kayley Bacigalupo; Executive Compensation & Benefits partner Aimee Adler and associate Sanjana Rao; Employment partner Rebecca Sivitz and associate Brett Bonfanti; Tax partner Hillel Jacobson and associate Josh Schonfeld; Real Estate associate Asher Witty; and Technology & IP Transactions partners Karen Ballack and Olivia Greer and associates Mirish Shah, Adeline Park and Justin Yun.
