Law360 Names Weil a “Firm of the Year” with Five “Practice Group of the Year” Awards

Weil has been selected a 2024 “Firm of the Year” by Law360 after earning five 2024 “Practice Group of the Year” awards. Law360 noted that the few law firms recognized as “Firms of the Year” succeeded in “steering some of the largest deals of 2024 and securing high-profile litigation wins.”

Weil earned “Practice Group of the Year” recognition in the following five categories:

  • Bankruptcy
  • Fund Formation
  • Mergers & Acquisitions
  • Real Estate
  • Technology

“[Weil] strives to have a broad platform that performs well in both cyclical and countercyclical economic environments,” Executive Partner Barry Wolf told Law360. The Firm’s work for Microsoft, The Home Depot, Cedar Fair, Brookfield and Steward Health Care were highlighted by the publication. Weil’s new offices in Los Angeles and San Francisco were noted along with the expansion of the Firm’s presence in private equity, “a sector where Weil has long been a pioneer.”

These distinctions follow the publication’s recent recognition of its 2024 “MVPs,” which included Weil’s Global Litigation Department Co-Chair David Lender, U.S. Antitrust Co-Head Mike Moiseyev, U.S. Complex Commercial Litigation Co-Head Drew Tulumello and Private Funds partner Stephanie Srulowitz.

Law360 received nearly 800 “Practice Group of the Year” submissions and selected winners across 30 practice areas.
